Why I Started My Blog

Sam Cleasby, who I interviewed in a previous post, inspired me to start my own blog. I was nervous at first because I’ve always been afraid to speak my mind infront of people so creating my own blog has helped me overcome that fear.

In my blog I will talk about what it is like living with Transverse Myelitis, Ataxia, hearing difficulties, central vision loss, and a few other health conditions that I have to hopefully raise awareness.

I wanted to share my recovery story; not to gain pity, but because when I was going through the most dark and scariest days I did not have anyone, that I knew, who had been through something similar. I didn’t know what I was facing. Fighting for a battle that i didn’t know if I was going to overcome or not was incredibly difficult. So I want to be someone that others can turn to, in any situation.

We all know life isn’t perfect but no matter our situation or circumstances, things will get better. There will be bad days. There will be good days.

We have to take one day at a time.

Please bear with me as this is still very much a work in progress and I’m excited to see what the future holds ❤
